In February, we announced our acquisition of Charmwood Risk Management Ltd.
This was a significant step forward for Robinson Management Services (RMS) in achieving our growth ambitions.
Now, almost three months on, we are reflecting on what this acquisition has meant for our business, team and clients.
Growth of our team
Thanks to our acquisition of Charmwood Risk Management, we welcomed Anthony Matthews to the RMS team as Business Development Director.
Anthony founded Charmwood Risk Management in 2016 and, as well as building up an enviable client base, he brought together a pool of knowledgeable, self-employed ISO consultants with years of experience in their respective, specialist areas.
So, through the acquisition, we not only gained Anthony as a real asset to our team, we were able to migrate Charmwood’s associate consultants over to RMS too.
This process included:
• Onboarding and Integration: Ensuring a smooth transition for Charmwood’s consultants into our team, providing them with the necessary resources and support.
• Training and Development: Offering training programs and resources to align their skills with our expanded service offerings.
• Leveraging Expertise: Utilising their specialised knowledge to enhance our capabilities and deliver exceptional value to our clients.
Expansion of services
Thanks to these additional team members, with years of ISO experience and specialist knowledge, we have also been able to expand our service offering over the last three months.
The seamless incorporation of Charmwood’s expertise into our existing framework has allowed us to cross-sell a range of new and enhanced services to our clients, including:

- TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange): Enhancing our portfolio with specialised services tailored for the automotive industry, ensuring compliance with stringent information security requirements.

- Carbon Management Services: Assisting clients in measuring, managing, and reducing their carbon footprint, aligning with global sustainability goals.
Our clients
Over the last three months, we have had numerous meetings with existing and prospective clients.
The feedback from our clients on the acquisition has been really positive and they appreciate the enhanced expertise and expanded service offerings that we now provide. This positive reception also underscores the value of our strategic move and reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional service.

We have also achieved significant wins for our clients over the three months, successfully guiding clients in the IT managed services and software development industries to achieve certifications in ISO14001: Environmental Management Systems; ISO9001: Quality Management Systems; and ISO27001: Information Security Management Systems. These certifications not only demonstrate our clients’ commitment to excellence and compliance but also highlight our expertise in supporting their journey towards achieving these important standards.

Working closely as approved consultants to a number of the leading UK certification bodies will also streamline certification processes for our clients and ensure we stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in risk management and our services remain relevant.
